Barack Obama arrived in New York City in August 1981, at age 20, from Occidental College in Los Angeles.

BARACK OBAMA, BILL AYERS AND BERNARDINE DOHRN, THE EARLY YEARS 1981 TO 1984 IN NEW YORK CITY & 1987 TO 1988 IN CHICAGO.

Barack Obama arrived in New York City in August 1981, at age 20, from Occidental College in Los Angeles. His apartment was a six-story walk-up at 339 East 94th Street that has seen much over the decades; drugs, rats, police busts and at least one stabbing.

The following information is based upon news reports (i.e. NY Times) and open FBI files. In 1982, New York City, Barack Obama is attending Columbia Univ. and is residing about two blocks away from Weather Underground leader William Ayers on the Upper East side of Manhattan NY. Bill Ayers is attending Bank Street College on the other side of Central Park at West 112th Street going for his Masters in Early Childhood Education. Barack Obama is a Poli Sci major at Columbia Univ, 2960 Broadway at West 116th Street New York. Fast forward to 1997.....Barack Obama Praised 'Searing and Timely' a Book by Bill Ayers in 1997 titled "A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court" in Chicago and Obama is mentioned in the book. http://wwwwbipicomlink.blogspot.com/2008/10/barack-obama-bill-ayers-and-bernardine.html
Barack Obama was living in the building at 339 East 94th Street when he received a phone call about his father’s death from a car accident in 1982 (see his photo here). While no residents, current or past, who were contacted by The NY Times remembered Mr. Obama, they shared tales of a building with low rents and dicey circumstances during the early 1980s, when Mr. Obama apparently lived there, before and after he graduated from Columbia University in 1983. “B. Obama” was listed in telephone directories at 339 East 94th Street in the early 1980s.
Mr. Obama did not specify the building number in his memoir, and his campaign has said that he has forgotten specifics of his youth (why ?). At Columbia University in New York City, Barack Obama majored in political science with a specialization in international relations. Barack Obama will not release any information about his days at Columbia Univ, as to what organizations he belonged to, but Obama’s first known public speech takes place at an Occidental College event, sponsored by the Students for Economic Democracy (SED), which is a branch of the Campaign for Economic Democracy (CED), a group that was founded by radical, anti-American, Marxist activist Tom Hayden who was also active with the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) in the 1960's. William Ayers’ subsequent radical group, the Weather Underground, was comprised of many former SDS members; in 1969 the Weather Underground - then called simply “Weatherman” - declared “war on Obama graduated with a B.A. from Columbia in 1983, then worked for a year at the Business International Corporation and then at the New York Public Interest Research Group. Dan Armstrong, who worked with Mr. Obama at Business International Corporation in New York in 1984 and has deconstructed Mr. Obama’s account of the job.

Mr. Armstrong’s description of the firm, and those of other co-workers, differs at least in emphasis from Mr. Obama’s. It was a small newsletter-publishing and research firm, with about 250 employees worldwide, that helped companies with foreign operations (they could be called multinationals) understand overseas markets, they said. Far from a bastion of corporate conformity, they said, it was informal and staffed by young people making modest wages. Employees called it “high school with ashtrays.”

After about a year, Obama was hired by the New York Public Interest Research Group, a nonprofit organization that promotes consumer, environmental and government reform. He became a full-time organizer at City College 160 Convent Ave at West 135th Street in Harlem NY, paid slightly less than $10,000 a year to mobilize student volunteers.

Barack Obama admitted in his first book that he would "carefully" seek out radical and Marxist friends while at Columbia University through 1983.In 1980 Ayers and Dohrn turned themselves in to federal authorities, but all charges were dropped as a result of alleged "government legal misconduct, use of illegal wire taps. Dohrn and Ayers had began a life together in New York City in the early 1970's, still underground using assumed ID's. William "Bill" Ayers used aka Michael Charles Rafferty Jr, aka Jules Michael Taylor, aka Hank Anderson, Bernardine Rae Dohrn used aka Lorraine Anne Jellins, aka Sharon Louise Naylor (Taylor) and aka Karen Louis DeBelius. Ten years later in 1980, Dohrn and Ayers finally turned themselves in, in Chicago.

Bernardine (NOT Bernadine) Dohrn initially moved to New York City to work for the National Lawyers Guild in 1967,an organization with which the Weather Underground and the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee have worked very closely is the National Lawyers Guild. The National Lawyers Guild in the old days was frequently identified as a legal front organization for the Communist Party. In December 1975, a National Lawyers Guild delegation traveled to Puerto Rico to attend the Congress of the Puerto Eican Socialist Party (Communist). They are expected to send a delegation to the Middle East some time this year to meet with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). This trip is being organized in coordination wnth the Palestine Solidarity Committee, a group closely linked to the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee.

Dohrn led the Weatherman faction in the SDS fight and continued to be a leader afterward. In July 1969, Dohrn, Eleanor Raskin, Dianne Donghi, Peter Clapp, David Millstone and Diana Oughton, all representing "Weatherman", as Dohrn's faction was now called, traveled to Cuba and met with representatives of the North Vietnamese and Cuban governments. Prior to the March 6, 1970 Greenwich Village townhouse explosion, in which three members of the group were killed as a bomb was being constructed, all members of Weatherman went underground. The group then changed its name to Weather Underground. At the 1969 National Convention of SDS held in Chicago IL, the SDS National officer was Bernardine Dohrn, from the Columbia University NY Chapter of SDS came Jeff Jones, Bill Ayers, Mark Rudd and Jeff Nellen, SDS was the precursor to the Weatherman Group.

In the fall of 1969, Mark Rudd and Jeff Jones of the Columbia Univ Chapter of SDS (Weatherman members) met regularly with Communist Cuban Intelligence Personal at the Cuban Mission to the U.N. 6 East 67th Street at Fifth Ave Manhattan NY. Funds were dispensed for demonstrations and most probably explosives and explosives making information (see Weatherman Greenwich Village explosion at a West 11th Street apartment belonging to the father of the Weatherman Cathlyn Wilkerson blew up on March 6, 1970, ). In June of 1969 Bernardine Dohrn met with Communist Cuban Intelligence officer Jose Viera at the Cuban Mission to the U.N. at East 67th Street New York NY, the following month (July) Dohrn led a SDS contingent to a meeting in Havana with Communist representatives from Cuba and North Vietnam. In the fall of 1969 the SDS dissolved and Bernardine Dohrn joined forces with Bill Ayers to start the Weathermen.
Julie Nichamin, one of the old SDS and Weatherman leaders, a repeat "visitor" to Cuba, and a leader of the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee, serves as a coordinator for the Puerto Rican Solidarity- Committee in 1975. The Puerto Rican Solidarity Committee is the propaganda arm of the Puerto Rican Socialist Party and defends terrorist and other violent activities on behalf of Puerto Rican independence. During the last years of their underground life 1979 to 1980, Dohrn and Ayers resided in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago where they used the aliases Christine Louise Douglas and Anthony J. Lee.

U.S. FEDERAL BUREAU OF PRISONS RECORDS, NEW YORK STATE;
BERNARDINE DOHRN 04556-054, age now 66, White F , RELEASED 12-23-1982. THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Published: January 6, 1983; A Federal judge has freed Bernardine Dohrn, who was jailed seven months ago for refusing to cooperate with a Federal grand jury investigating the 1981 Brink's armored-car robbery in Rockland County. The judge, Gerard L. Goettel of District Court, said late Tuesday that Miss Dohrn did not have to return to the Federal jail in Manhattan from a Christmas furlough she was given Dec. 23. Miss Dohrn, a former member of the Weather Underground, was one of several uncooperative witnesses subpoenaed by the Federal grand jury probing the aborted robbery in which two Nyack police officers and a guard were killed. After refusing to cooperate with a demand for samples of her handwriting, Miss Dohrn was cited for contempt and jailed on May 19, 1982. She could have been jailed until the grand jury's term expired, a maximum of 18 months.
After leaving the underground (and Federal Prison), Bill Ayers and Dohrn set up shop in NYC in 1982, where they married and where he later earned an M.Ed from Bank Street College at 610 West 112th St New York, NY 10025 in Early Childhood Education (1982-1984), an M.Ed from Teachers College, Columbia University in Early Childhood Education (1987) and an Ed.D from Teachers College, Columbia University in Curriculum and Instruction (1987).

Investigators have stated that Bernardine Dohrn may have played a small part (or helped plan) the 1981 Brinks’ robbery. Bernardine Dohrn was the manager of the Manhattan children’s boutique Broadway Baby in 1979, which gave her access to customer information; with this information, it was possible for Dohrn to assist in creating fake identification for Family members (Weathermen). Bernardine Dohrn was suspected of assisting those involved by obtaining false drivers’ licenses for them. Bernardine Dohrn had listed an address of 520 West 123rd Street New York NY, two blocks above Columbia Univ. Teachers College. "November 27, 1980 A woman who has lived on the West Side of Manhattan for two years has been identified as Bernardine Dohrn, the fugitive leader of the radical Weather Underground".

According to a 1982 New York Times report, "Broadway Baby" which opened in July of 1979, was implicated in an investigation of a series of violent armed robberies in New York—netting more than $2 million over a two-year span—committed by former Black Panthers and Weather Underground members in the early ’80s.
At "Broadway Baby", customers often paid by check and used driver’s licenses for identification which is SOP at any department store. On Dec. 28, 1979, information from two customer files was used to apply for two driver’s licenses at the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. The fraudulent licenses were used to rent getaway cars for the gang from Econo Car where one of the Agents was none other Dohrn's best friend forever Katherine (Kathy) Boudin.

Investigators tracked the identities on two licenses for the getaway cars. The names belonged to women who had shopped at Broadway Baby in December 1979. The manager of Broadway Baby during that period of the customer ID theft was Bernardine Dohrn (who at this time was underground with Bill Ayers and already had one child with him, a son, Zayd, in 1977), identified by investigators as taking customer information from one, and possibly both, of the women shoppers. Dohrn was never charged in that case, it appears Dohrn was the "forger" for Weatherman bogus ID's.

At the time of the Brink's robbery, Oct 1981, "Best Friend Forever" Katherine Boudin had been living in New York with a roommate and her son; she worked as an agent for Econo-Car (an employment which facilitated the theft of vehicles for use in armed robberies) and used aliases which included Lynn Adams, Elizabeth Ann Hartwell, and Barbara Edson

Bernardine Dohrn went to jail for six months rather than testify and provide a hand writing sample to a grand jury about the "1981 Brinks Robbery" matter in 1982. Only because her lawyer was able to convince the judge that Dohrn’s “fanaticism” meant she would never testify was she finally released.

"The Brinks Robbery and Murders", On Tuesday the 20th of October 1981, in the village of Nanuet in Rockland County, a gang of armored-car bandits spectacularly hit a Brink's truck for $1.6 million, killing a guard and wounding two others. At a police roadblock a few minutes later, they opened fire on Nyack cops and killed two of them. A half-dozen or so of the bandits got past the immediate dragnet. A few others were nabbed at the scene. And one of them was 38-year-old Katherine Boudin, who, with Cathy Wilkerson 11 years earlier, had been seen fleeing the Village bomb factory, naked and screaming.

After the arrest of member Jeff Jones and his wife three days later (in an unrelated incident) the official end of the Weather Underground was marked. Key to disrupting the group for good was the newly created FBI-New York City Police Anti Terrorist Task Force. It brought together the strengths of both organizations and focused them on these domestic terrorists. The task force and others like it paved the way for today’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces.

Barack Obama, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn are living in close proximity in Manhattan NY from about 1982 to at least 1984. Bernardine Dohrn moves to Chicago and from 1984 to 1988 Dohrn is employed by the prestigious Chicago Law firm Sidley & Austin, Bill Ayers apparantly stays at Columbia Univ. in New York City until Ed.D graduation in 1987. Michelle Obama joined Sidley & Austin as an associate in the fall of 1988. She had previously been a summer associate at Sidley & Austin—evidently in the summer of 1987 (when Dohrn was there).

Barack Obama entered Harvard Law School in late 1988, during his summers, he returned to Chicago where he worked as a summer associate at the law firm of Sidley & Austin from 1988 to 1989, this is the same Law Firm where Bernardine Dohrn, the Leader/Founder of the "Weatherman Group", was already employed.

By 1995, it appears that Barack Obama had known Bill Ayers & Bernardine Dohrn at least eight years since Ayers and Obama shared involvement in the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools in 1987, Ayers did not leave Columbia Univ. NYC until mid 1987, it appears he travelled back and forth between Chicago and NYC, he got involved with the radical Alliance For Better Schools in Chicago, possibly through Dohrn ?..... The radical School reform movement had begun in 1987 in the wake of an unpopular strike by Chicago teachers. Bill Ayers was active in that reform effort through a group called the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools, or ABCs. ABCs was an alliance of various activists and reform groups that included the Developing Communities Project which Barack Obama headed up at the time as well as Chicago United, a business sector group, that was headed up by Thomas Ayers, father of Bill Ayers.

Obama Praised 'Searing and Timely' a Book by Bill Ayers titled "A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court" in Chicago; Barack Obama gave a glowing endorsement of the book by former domestic terrorist William Ayers and Barack Obama was mentioned by name in the book itself, Dec. 21, 1997, endorsement was in the Chicago Tribune Newspaper. A month before the item appeared, on Nov. 20, 1997, Michelle Obama, then dean of student services and director of the University Community Service Center, held a panel at the University of Chicago that featured both Barack Obama and terrorist Bill AyersBernardine Dohrn (Ayres wife), was once labeled “the most dangerous woman in America” by none other than J. Edgar Hoover and Dohrn proclaimed, “I consider myself a revolutionary Communist”. . It is unclear whether Obama knew the former fugitive Dohrn through Sidley & Austin but there is no doubt that, by the time Obama joined Sidley & Austin as a Summer associate, Obama had known Bill Ayers for at least two years through their involvement in Alliance for Better Chicago Schools in 1987.....Obama, 21 years involved with terrorist cop killers.

In 1976, the FBI's Chicago Field Office prepared a summary which described the activities of the Weather Underground Organization (Dohrn & Ayers), also known as Weathermen. This organization described itself as a revolutionary organization of communist men and women (Dohrn & Ayers). The FBI's analysis of its motivations, beliefs, and international travels are outlined in this summary.Part 1a

Once a Commie always a Commie except now it's toned down and called Socialism via Barack Obama's exchange with Joe the Plumber "I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody " wonder where Obama got this from !

W. Haywood Burns was the lawyer who defended the Attica inmates and Angela Davis of the Black Panthers, who were also involved in the 1981 Brinks robbery. Who was he married to? None other than Jennifer Dohrn, sister of the domestic terrorist bomber Bernadette Dohrn Ayers and a dear friend of Barack Hussein "Barry Soetoro" Obama. On the Board of Directors of the W. Haywood Burns Institute is none other than Bernardine Dohrn.
