The acts of violence against Christians are well documented. One attack last month left at least four Christians dead. On July 10, pro-Morsi and MB supporters hacked a Christian to death. The Blaze says a mob of Muslim extremists were hot on their tail. Emile Naseem and his nephew tried to escape by climbing onto the roof of a building. They jumped from one building to the next until there were no more rooftops left. The mob overpowered Naseem and his nephew when they returned to the street. They were hacked with axes, beaten with clubs and tree limbs, as a result of the attack the uncle died. The nephew recounted the vicious attack to the Associated Press. He survived with wounds to his shoulder and head. The MB targeted Naseem because of his campaign to oust President Morsi. The MB has been attacking Christians because they blame them for Morsi's removal from power. The MB stabbed three Christians and burned dozens of houses as they tore through the village of Nagaa Hassan. This rampage came only two days after the ouster of President Morsi. During Morsi's year of power, hard-line Muslims spoke of the Christians in Egypt as being enemies of Islam. The MB constantly reminded them they were the minority, and it would be best for them to remain silent. It's reported that Christians had no interest in politics before Mubarak's removal because they feared reprisals like what's happening now. Since the overthrow of Mubarak all that has changed. Ezzat Ibrahim, an activist from Minya said: "The Christians have emerged from under the robes of the clergy and will never go back." The recent spate of attacks by the MB began after the Egyptian military dispersed their protests last week that allegedly killed over 500. The MB responded by torching over 50 churches, shops and houses within the Christian community. The violence continues to spiral out of control. The Sunday Times reported today that a furious mob of Muslims burst onto the scene of a mostly Christian area in Minya on Aug.18. When this happened "Alexander Tawss, 60, a barber, grabbed his gun and fired in the air to try to scare them away." This infuriated the mob that a Christian would fire into the air against them. They turned on him hacking him to death. The Muslims then dumped his body in a local graveyard. His family are afraid if they try to recover his body, the Muslims will kill them also. Breaking News: The White House is finally condeming the violence against Christians today, Aug. 21. This comes after several days of the Obama administration condemning the violence against the MB by the interim goverment in Egypt. The Blaze reports that White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters Wednesday: "We have condemned in unambiguous terms all of the violence that has been perpetrated there in Egypt. We have been concerned and condemned the violence that was perpetrated by the government against peaceful protestors and we’re just as outraged and just as concerned about reports that Christian churches have been targeted.” Please remember to pray for the Christians in Egypt who are being murdered just for being Christians.
