The above paragraph that you just read was taken from an article, with the same title as this one, from media outlet National Report. The problem with the story, is that it is satire, written as fact. In other words, it’s fake news.
The fact is that Democrat Terry McAulliffe did win by a slight margin over Republican Ken Cuccinelli in the Virginia Governor’s race. However, “voter fraud” does not seem to be an issue at all. This is merely an example of two things; 1- How easy it is for anyone to release anything on the internet, and 2- How direly important it is to read entire news articles, not just scan the headlines and consider yourself informed.
This is a prime example of what great American novelist Mark Twain meant when he said, “People who don’t read the news are uninformed. People who do read the news are misinformed.”
